A Step above the Rest
For starters, they gave us garlic bread while waiting for the food. This was quite surprising since we know not many pizza places who give out bread for starters. I noticed that they had pipe in music , while i was munching on my bread. It was a prerecorded 'Pizza hut Radio' playlist with mostly love songs and ballads.
Waldorf green salad was their salad special for the summer season. The ingredients were slices of apples, caramelized walnuts, grapes and greens. What I like about this salad is that the ingredients that they mixed were chunky and blend well together. The walnut was covered in sugar and the sauce had a hint of sweetness. The grapes and apples gave that fresh feeling to the salad. The flavors all exuded the taste of summer.
If you're looking for simple Italian food with a budget in mind, you will find one at the 4th floor of Robinsons Galeria. Pizza Hut Bistro is a spin off the original Pizza Hut that we all grew up loving. This new twist provided a more classy feel to the well-known restaurant, different from the other pizza places' marketing strategy: Shakey's, with a target market of Kids, Greenwich with a target of the 'barkada', and Yellow Cab, the localized New York Pizza. This is a place where you could just sit back and relax and have a quiet dinner with friends and family. Not really what you would think of a pizza place.

We ordered soup and salad as appetizers. Their onion soup was okay for the price of Php 75.00. It was just 'plain' onion soup. Nothing spectacular. The soup was a little too thin though and the bread seemed to soak too much in it and not complement the soup. The cheese was also very minimal.

The chicken wings were good, served with garlic sauce. Still, it was nothing compared to the chicken wings of Hooters!
For pasta lovers, get a load of the new Viva Pizza of Pizza Hut. The Lasanga pizza is quite original. It really tastes like lasanga. It's lasanga with a thin crust. Personnaly, we didn't quite get the point of this new flavor because it didn't really create anything new. It was just lasagna on oily crunchy bread. Atkins dieters stay away from this one. The lasagna, per se, though was still pretty good.
The service was also top notch. Our servers were polite, attentive, and proactive. They kept refilling my glass of water!
Reasonable prices, good ol' Italian cuisine presented thoughtfully, WITHOUT the whole pizza parlor atmosphere makes Pizza Hut Bistro a good way to go. Nothing spectacular, but definitely a step above the rest.
